Rhodes Town, the central fruit market

The Rhodian street market, in Greece called Laiki, is held every Wednesday and Thursday, close to Zefiros area. The market opens early in the morning to 2 p.m. Here you'll find a wide variety of fruits, fresh fish, herbs, clothing, shoes, textiles and embroidery. You can try the fruits before you buy. The traders encourage you to try their fruit, to prove that they are the best in the market.

The mouth watering smell of Souvlaki grilling in the catering van mingles with fresh oranges, lemons in the winter time or peaches and strawberries in the summer time.
